Jupiter, win some, draw some

Not quite a loss from opposition night, but bad jetstream conditions and scattered clouds meant this is probably the only respectable image from the session. Oval BA is prominent, with a very pale yellow ring. SSTB oval A5 is passing to the south of Oval BA

Conditions weren't great down in Melbourne last night with unfavourable seeing and patchy cloud. I took some footage with my 8 inch but I'm not expecting too much once I process them. Cloud cleared completely by about 12.00am but with work to follow, by then it was over for me and pack the gear away.

Despite less than ideal conditions, you've still managed a very respectable image, nicely done Andy.

Wow Andy, that is a superb image, even more so given the nasty conditions.

Cheers

Thanks everyone, though we're well into jetstream season here, am hoping there'll be some better conditions soon!
