Last night I took this pic of dark nebula Barnard 86 & open cluster NGC 6520. 10 x 10 mins ISO200. Hutech modded 350D camera. UV/IR filter only. 10 inch f5.6 newtonian, Baader MPCC coma corrector. Off axis hand guided. Seeing only average, guide star boiling a bit. Also some moon in the sky. But a nice night to be under the stars very dry not a hint of dew.
Thanks all. Imagine an exoplanet finder mission like Kepler studying every star in that field, then going wider to encompass most of the milky way, the numbers would be incredible.
As long as the supply of hot chocolate is kept up the old guider will function well
Fully dissasembled the mount yesterday, degreased and regreased all the bearings, cleaned the worm and drive wheel, hopefully it will track even better now
