Baader NB Umounted Filters Mix-up!!

Hi

Please don't laugh but this really stuffed me up!

Got to organise my Baader 2" umounted NB filters set into the FW carousel and somehow muffed up and in the process of re-inserting/installing them again I got totally mixed up as to which filters are which!!

Rather a silly question but being a noob about this, how does one suss out which is which? I think I know the Ha one but cannot differentiate the other two being either SII or OIII - they all look similarly highly reflective!!

Another noobie query is which way should the filters face be deemed to be correct? In other words is there a "front" and "rear" surface as such - with mounted filters at least you know which is front or back as the filter rings indicate as to how you should face the filters in the carousel

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Cheers
Bill

Look through them, S2 is deep red, O3 is not. If you get Ha and S2 mixed up, both are red, shoot a couple of subs at eta and the one with least data is S2 I believe baader etch an arrow on the side of the filters in the direction of the light path if they have to go in a certain way, but a lot of people say the reflective side goes to the scope.

According to Astrodon's website, the new generation filters can be inserted in either direction. Not sure about Baader.

Thanks Guys!

Will try to see if I can work it out the way it was described

However the edges of the umounted filters do not have the "arrow" markings whatsoever!

Thanks Graeme

I did read that a while back when it was first posted but because I "mixed" my NB filters I thought I best ask on here first in case that there might little "tips-and-tricks" that could prove useful

Once again thanks

Cheers
