Astronomik CLS filter - work with both modded and unmodded DSLR?

I'm wondering if the Astronomik CLS clip-in filter, like this one:

http://www.bintel.com.au/Astrophotog...oductview.aspx

will work with both a modded and an unmodded DSLR or do I need an extra something?

many thanks

niko

I've been researching the LP filters myself, trying to decide between the Astronomik and the Hutech.
From what I understand, the CLS works with either.
There is also a CLS-CCD which has the IR cut for modded camera's that don't have a replacement IR cut filter, though the filter curves provided on their site for these two(CLS vs CLS-CCD) are confusing. I think maybe they have accidentally switched them?

Can you get the clip in filters for Nikon cameras?

Greg.

niko, here is a comparison of the Hutech and Astronomik filters: Link
And a discussion on the diferences between the CLS and CLS-CCD: Link

Greg, the only one's I've seen are the 'front filters' listed here: http://www.sciencecenter.net/hutech/nikon.htm
Worth confirming with them that they are a clip in style filter.

I don't believe you can, I think the Hutech ones will pair up though.

Another thing to be wary of is that the astronomik filters will not work with an EF-S lens as it goes further back into where the clip filter sits.
Still I have one, it works very well. I should probably use it more often.

thanks Simon, great info.

I think it's left me more confused than ever though!

I'll put the wallet away and have a more serious think!

cheers
