Astrometrica file size issues

Hi all,

When I attempt to load a FITS file from MaximDL onto Astrometrica the program stops responding and I have to reboot it. It just loops round and round without actually loading the image.

The tutorial images load fine. The images I am trying to load are about 20meg.

Is this too ambitious for Astrometrica? My computer handles similarly sized files easily via other image software such as paint and Aperture.

Help and advice appreciated,

Thanks in advance,

Richard.

I've just answered my own question; it's the computer. If I crop the image reducing the mass from 20 to 4 meg, then convert it to FITS it happily loads up - only thing is doing that trashes my scaling!!!
