6" mirror blank polishing

Hi to all. hope I am in the right place to post this question. I am new to this forum and not really sure I am doing this post correctly if not please let me know.

I am polishing a 6" mirror blank and cannot seem to get the last 3/8" edge to polish out does anyone have any suggestions or do I just keep polishing on? I have put in about 16 hours and still going so it maybe that I am doing something wrong. Doing 1/3 COC.

Thank you in advance

Hi Anthony. Welcome to this forum. Just a suggestion. Maybe post this question in " ATM and DIY Projects "section which is in "Equipment" section of Forum. The mirror making crew may not see your question in this section. They will certainly help you with your queries. Ask away Cheers, Richard

It does sound as if you have an turned down edge from your fine grinding.
You could pose the question on the Cloudy Nights forums, that are based in the USA, they have lots of mirror makers on there.
