I am really sorry but i had to post this as a work in progress. I processed 126 video files to make a very rough stack. I still need to crop and align the images and then colour......

ok i an now starting to try and process the shots better - here is a sample of what i am trying to do - man this is a very steep learning curve. - now have to find out how to darken the background?

I got a reminder this week myself on FB about the day. The day was very cloudy most of it but eventually cleared enough for me to get this image. I was anxious all day until I had captured the last panel of data and then the long hours of processing began. The president of the ASSA at the time asked me to give up attending a big public event just so we had an image that night of the transit. It was our June General meeting and he thought we needed a good image of the transit. I obliged his request and produced the image below, which incidentally is now on permanent display at the Royal Observatory Greenwich. It was a great day after all.

Brilliant pictures there fellas.


I took that day off work and managed to get a few OK pics as well.

It was a great day indeed. The LX200 was in repair and I had to use the ETX-125. Cloudy through most of it from Glenalta, but when the clouds went away, yahoo!

Got to show it live to a couple of people walking past at the time. They seemed blown away.
