Thackeray's globules and surrounds

Got the newt back out (one of my aims for the year) and was impressed with how the heq5 can handle it. spent a chunk of time on another target before bed, but let it run til 4 on the chicken.

I'm hoping there's a baader clicklock available for skywatcher newt focusers, as I can see here the LHS of the image is eggy(er) than the right.
Anyway, I suppose I'll add a lot more data to this, but I like it as a start, especially that bushy ball just above Thackeray's globules.

This was last night, 60% moon, 1min subs on gain 139, a tick over an hour on each filter. 8" f5 newt. Image scale is pushing it at 0.78"/px.

Shout out also to my newt, I still havent had to touch the collimation screws on the primary, and only a couple tweaks on the secondary. I'm falling back in love with it

That looks real good JP. Killer resolution and great details in the processing. Well done.

Wonderful depth in those globs JP. They really look like they’re floating in the foreground. Very nice indeed

That's a really good shot Jahn, the Bok globules stand out nicely and the colours are cool too
