G'Day Derek,

Y800 uncompressed codec
Brightness = 0
Gain = 380
Exposure to suit (mine runs about 1/60s to 1/92s on Ha) - use the histogram to make sure you're not clipping.

...hmmm... what else is there?

Hi Derek

What equipment will you be using:
  • Optical telescope plus full aperture solar filter,
  • Specialised solar telescope, or
  • Other instrument?
Cheers

Basically I'll be using a Daystar 60mm Ha scope which is in the F20's and a 100mm F7 refractor with a Lunt Wedge for white light.
I,m guessing here that the F factor may influence some settings?

Hi Derek

Okay – I’m not familiar with those systems as I use the Baader Solar Film as a full aperture solar filter. I suspect the DMK settings for my set up will not be suitable for your more specialised equipment.

Cheers

Only the exposure and frame rate would differ.
The DMK should give you great results...
How will you stack the AVI frames?? I use Registax V5 for my solar images.
