QSI Sony cameras

Hi

don't know if this has been posted elsewhere here yet, but just noticed that QSI now has Sony 9, 6 and 2.8Mp chips as options in their 600 and RS series of cameras.

regards Ray

And so the move away from the original Kodak chips begins.
True Sense Imaging is not really putting anything new out so the market will have to look elsewhere.

In the digital camera world Sony reigns supreme. Their CMOS sensors are very advanced. Toshiba aren't too bad either.

Fuji/Panasonic are working on an organic sensor which has 15EV of dynamic range. I wonder if that could end up making a nice astro camera? I suppose you'd have to peel all the stuff off of it first.

Sony is also working on a 54mp Foveon style 35mm sized chip so the rumour goes.

Greg.
