I have the same problem. The comet is drifting into a sea of street lights. I could move the scope closer to the swamp, but don't want to contend with the mossies and snakes.

Thanks guys. Shooted it with the ED80 tonight as I haven't imaged it through that scope yet.

Yeah same here Bob. Only a few days left before the street lights get it and the wet season has set in. Not likely to see it again but we've had a good run, got some nice photos and memories.

Here is an animation over 3.5 hours of the tail of Comet Lovejoy taken from data from Jan 20.

There is quite a bit of detail and change over this time span.
