Question Atik 383L+, comments?

I am thinking about upgrading to Atik 383+ (monochrome version).
Probably there are users with some experience with this camera - what I have read from web it looks pretty good.
Any comments?
Thank in advance

Hi bojan,
This guy (Greekastronomy) uses the L version to great effect. Also uses the Atik 16 on some posts too - have a search through...some beautiful pics there

Doug, that link doesn't work for me and from all the image notes (eg this one) Anthony uses a 314L+, not a 383L+. The 314L+ tempts me more then the 383, but probably not as much as a 4000.

Bojan, there are quite a few posts on the 383L+ in the Atik Yahoo group. A few people have problems with the shutter, but Atik seem to have worked out the cause and will fix it, or explain the those who want to how to do it themselves.

If it makes any difference, Atik have today announced a "summer" promo.

Quote:
Hello to all Atikers,

Summer time, promo time! The Atik 383L+ and EFW2 filter wheel have been an enourmos success, and we're very grateful to all of you for your support. Since many of you have to travel to remote sites to do your imaging, and traveling with multiple boxes might be less than ideal, we just decided to start offering our customers a nice package deal.

Buy a 383L+ and an EFW2 filter wheel, and get a nice Atik branded carrying case for free! The case features custom foam cuts, to keep your valuable investment safe, and features solid construction.

This promo is in effect immediately. Please contact your favorite dealer for details.

Clear skies to all.

Best,

Rui Tripa
