Spectroscopy at NACAA 2012

Just a reminder to everybody that the National Australian Convention of Amateur Astronomers (NACAA) is on in Brisbane over the Easter weekend!

If you are into the spectroscopy side of astronomy, there is plenty there for you, including:

NACAA 2012 is being held at the University of Queensland, in state of the art lecture theatres just off the beautiful Great Court.

For full details of the event and registration, go to the NACAA website.

I'm going to display a poster of high-resolution spectra, for various ongoing proam projects, that I've recorded over the last couple of years from a very light polluted urban backyard close to Melbourne's CBD. I was originally planning to give a talk, but completely forgot about NACAA, only to remember in time to register for the poster instead.

unfortunately I can't make it up to Brisbane for the conference - any chance you might post your poster here post conference?

Sounds like a great opportunity to advance amateur spectroscopy in Australia.
We are in a very good position to be able to compliment many northern spectroscopic projects and make meaningful contributions to astronomy.
I wish it success!

SimSpec V3.3 - Spectroscope design spreadsheet

BTW I see in Keith Forbes website he refers to Buil's design for the Classic spectroscope.
The associated spreadsheet - SimSpec has been updated and translated into English as SimSpec V3.3.
If you need a copy let me know.

Bernard, any chance you could release a copy of the spectroscopy posters? I'm keen to have a look
