I've been gathering data on this one for a while now. There's about 10 hrs worth all up. Unfortunately the DSO hugs my roofline as it ascends & the white Fascia of the house is illuminated by local light pollution which has led to all sorts of gradients to deal with in processing.
With the excuses out of the way, details are; ED 127 triplet, 60 x 600 sec frames shot with SBIG 8300C, acquired & partly processed with Nebulosity IV using 'Bad pixel mapping' & finished in Photoshop CS 2, guiding with PHD.
I was hoping for a better result than this given the amount of data but this the best I could squeeze out of it. Comments welcome & thanks for looking.
Cheers,
Tony
Thanks for your comments Mick & Tony, it was a bugger of a thing to process so I appreciate the feedback Mick.
"makes me wonder what the same effort would look like from a dark site"
Me too Tony. Wouldn't it be nice.
Thanks for the positive feedback Ryan, yes I'm happy with the result now.
It's the most time I've put into a single target so far but worth it now in retrospect.
Cheers,
Tony
