Jupiter Sketch 18-10-10

Hi Everyone,

Had a clear night and was observing Jupiter through my new eps and decided to do a sketch. The program Jupiter 2 said that i should be able to see the grs but nonetheless i failed to recognize it.

Sketch was done with a hb pencil and an eraser and that it.On the sketch you may notice lines going up and down vertically, they are not part of the sketch and were on the other side of the paper.

Hope you like the sketch, it was fun making it,
Regards orestis

Good work! The clouds look good. I've never yet been able to spot the GRS, although the husband claims to have...

Hi Orestis + 1 for everything everyone said above. You have shaded the banding so beautifully - you really are a natural at this.

I see your new TMB 6mm is paying off well in giving you some good detail to work with. What scope are you using at the moment?

I was observing Jupiter on Monday 18th around 9pm and the GRS was clearly visible; not quite in the middle of the planet. I love the swirly grey/blue cloud bands on this side too, its so much more interesting to me. Here is a link that I use to track down the GRS. http://www.skyandtelescope.com/skyte.../91731334.html

Another great sketch Orestis. You are obviously making very good use of some clear skies.
