Lightbulb Imageshift Reduction cheap and easy

Hi All,

I just thought id share this mod I did to my scope the other day.

I own a Saxon 6" with a very basic focuser, image shift especially at high magnification was a big problem.

I solved this problem by creating a shim between the outer focuser tube and the inner focus tube I used 3 layers of 1" wide sticky tape folded over and put between the tubes.

I folded the sticky sides to each other gave it a slight curve and wedged it in even at 4mm image shift is almost non existent. The shim is about 1mm.

I used tape as paper gets affected by dew and tape provides less friction.
