Norfolk Island stargazing trip

Last month the wife and I ,went to Norfolk Island for a weeks holiday for a chill out . This was a great opportunity to do some serious stargazing. I took a Saxon 102mm Maksutov scope and a Skywatcher AZghtGTi mount . The night sky was amazing, no light pollution and steady air. Here's a few pictures I took with my Cellphone.

Nice location !
But the sky pictures appear to be exposed very shortly and / or a very low ISO.
Next time, use ISO 1600 and 20-30 secs with steady camera.

I imagine (and your pictures confirm) that on a clear night there, the sky will be very impressive indeed.

However, a friend of my visited Norfolk Island and had wet, cloudy weather the whole time she was there.

As always, U need to be lucky!

Ditto for me too for an entire fortnight. I was only able to see the night sky at all on one evening, and even then only for short bursts between clouds. It was very disappointing as I'd bought new binos especially for the trip

I had to reduce the size for posting on the forum , I used a 20 second exposure at ISO3200
