Cheap shipping for all you classifieds junkies

Hey everyone,

I thought I would mention to anyone who is buying and selling things on the classifies that you can get really cheap shipping rates through e-go.com.au. I've used them for shipping surfboards in the past and for example, last week I got quoted $25 to ship a HEQ5 Pro mount from Queensland to Sydney via depot-to-depot. Of course you need to be close enough to a depot to use that option, but I believe their door-to-door is still cheaper than other services.

Anyway, thought this may help some of you.

Cheers,

Nelson

That's good to know. I've got a heap of stuff that needs to be sent from Sydney to Sunshine Coast.

Cheers.

They are certainly cheap. I sent 2 pallets of stock from Newcastle to Perth for under $1000 a couple years back. A 50kg safe was only about $40 for the same delivery run.

Their communication is non-existent, however. If you need to find where things are, forget about it. They get a lot of complaints on Whingepool... I mean Whirlpool.

I would use them again, but not for important (critical) things, like telescopes...

Hi,

I was just looking at e-go.com.au for shipping - it seems their rates are cheap but if you want insurance/indemnity against loss or damage, that they do not accept any claims for loss of any item containing glass since they classify this as dangerous goods. Check their indemnity terms section 7 (6) (d) - so for mounts, this could be quite ok, unless of course the tripod has a bubble level made of glass .

I just had e-Go deliver 12 boxes of stuff from Sydney. 201 kg (dead weight) of stuff for $390. All my photography gear turned up. In tact!
