The start of work in progress on a new Summer target, the Rosette nebula NGC 2244.
I last imaged this about four years ago when I was just getting started with my old OSC, so it's time to revisit this in NB.
Big trees block my view of this one from my backyard, so after successfully gathering LRGB data to finish off a few other projects I quickly reframed at 2am (brrr, freezing
) & nabbed a couple of hrs of Ha on this last weekend.
As the season goes on, I hope to go full HaO3S2 RGB on this one.
Here is 6x1200secs Ha 3nm from my mate's property in rural Victoria.
I'm amazed how much Ha there is showing up in the background already!
