Talking Dew Shield for Finder Scope

For sometime I have been looking for a suitable dew shield material for my finder scope to replace rolled manilla folders, foam rubber etc. While diving a weekend ago and pulling on my wetsuit it came to me! Neoprene!

Some of you may have neoprene tinnie or stubbie holders stored away. I did and it is a perfect fit all I needed to do was remove the bottom.

Perfect dew shield, doesn't matter if crushed when packing away and allways on hand if someone passes you a 'coldie'.

(PS I did score 5 nice sized Crayfish on my dive too!!)

I have one of those neoprene stubby holders, so I gave it a try. It doesn't fit mine. The stubby holder is too big.

Great idea for people with larger Finders though!!! Great suggestion Photon!

I use a section of mailing tube painted black inside and out. Works perfect for my standard GS finder.

That's sad! I think stubbie holders are larger than the older tinnie holders. Mine finder is a GS 8 x 50 unit with about 60mm dia around the focusser.
