Got up early and the sky was blue but with clouds out to sea threatening to move in as they did. There was some very thin cloud evident in some images so am happy I got what I did.
Here is my selection taken from 6am to about 8am.
I did some playing with the double stack tilt tuner, lot of guess work, running inside and out to see the difference. The proms while not grand as last week are still worth a shot. The first few disc images are taken in single stack as labeled and the last few double stack as labeled.

Good work again Peter, now I know what I'm missing. Can't offer any advice as you take pretty good images already. I hope to get a look at AR2778 sometime in the next day or two before it rotates out of view.
Thank you Pete, Jeff and Gerard for your encouragement! Yes Gerard double stacking is where I need to understand more as I am turning the tilt tuner at various stages to see what "looks" better to me i.e. a 3D like effect, but there are so may possibilities that I may be missing the obvious.
That's pretty cool Peter. Solar imaging is foreign to me. I only did it a handful of times including the Venus transit with a mylar film. Is it safe to use a catadioptric or classical cassegrain to do solar with only a filter covering the aperture? How about a barlow?

With a full aperture (Baader Solar filter) ALL telescopes are safe to use.
This gives great White Light Imaging.
Many of us use Barlow’s or Powermates to improve the plate scale. Not an issue behind a safe solar filter.

Thanks Ken. No heat issues even with a complex barlow having multiple corrective lenses such as the quadruplet Baader FFC?

Thanks Marc, it was foreign to me also and has just become such an exciting part of our wonderful hobby. Seeing changes in real time has really got me addicted! Thanks also to Ken for answering your question re front of scope filters. I know you can buy the Mylar filters for many scopes but Ken is more up on white light etc.
