A Shadow World

I'm always looking at shadows on a sunny day because they often give an entirely different view of their parent. Besides, the strong light/dark contrast on these kinds of days can make other subjects unphotogenic, so I may as well make the most of it.
This was a chair out on the verandah that I was about to sit on to enjoy a pot of tea.

I could see these blown up and a magnificent art feature in home or office.
Very impressed I am.

Hi Leon

I recall going to the National Gallery maybe 30 years ago and there was one piece that had me wondering if my thoughts that it was rubbish were unfounded.

It was a a piece of ply I think with what looked like a brush cleaning attempt single stroke from top to bottom.

Then it hit me the real art here was the art of someone selling such crap to someone who you would think should know better.

I would be framing up the current issue and sending them off to the Block on loan and I bet their designers would love them.

This work is art..good art in my view and as yoou well know by now I am always right.

Alex

Very Talented, Trevor
I do really like these as well - compositions are great, and the brightness/contrast levels are well measured & presented
Awesome collection

Thank you all for the kind comments.
Photographers are always concerned with highlight and shadow and seek to avoid extremes of both. But, shadows in themselves can be worthy of a second look.
