Aurora Last Night

The aurora was certainly visible and it varied quite a lot in brightness over an hour or so. I couldn't detect colour visually though at any time.

The first image was at 21:35 and the second 22:06. You can see a great variation in the colour. Soon after the second image it quickly faded and could not be seen visually. The bright light lower right in the second image is a fishing boat!

From the South West Victorian coast, Olympus OMD EM1, 12mm lens at F2.8 and 60 sec exposures.
