I never ever thought I'd see Aurora from where I live. I got the heads up at 10pm from Al Sheehan on FB, so I quickly loaded up all my camera gear in my van and headed west. I wanted to be clear of all lights to the south. The aurora was very faint to start with, but from approx 1pm it was visible to the naked eye as a dark pink glow in the south.
Pity about the clouds developed here, I had to scramble! I might have a lens issue or two to investigate as well - bad coma on the LHS of frame. I'm hoping it just because I forgot to turn IS off.
