Camera Advice

I currently own a QHY183c camera (prev a QHY8 OSC CCD) but as I'm retiring within the next 12 months I'll have more time to dedicate to imaging so two acquisitions before then will be a new camera as well as either an 8" or 10" GSO CF RC (either full tube or truss) to ad to my stable but I will be looking at a monochrome camera with filters budget will be around $5000. I'm partial to QHY cameras found them to produce good images - any suggestions as too cameras to review before then would be welcome (within the budget) -

That's a nice decision and budget to have to ponder!

I'd go one of these (or the zwo equivalent) https://www.testar.com.au/products/q...pro-monochrome with chroma lrgb ha Sii and Oiii filters in an electronic filter wheel of some kind. I think it'd be just about 5K all up

I am not sure what these are. Are they the CCD plus filter wheel and offaxis guider cams? All of those seem good. I have no specific data on the QHY models but I am familiar with all those CCDs. All are good, its more about the size of the sensor.

I image with a 16803 sensor often and its square and that looks fine.

Greg.
