I am finding this region of the sky to be quite fascinating.
This is seven hours worth of h-alpha from the Alluna RC16 operating at F6. Inspired by Marc's wonderful FSQ image, I've gone for a B&W art-house look in processing the data.
According to the ESO "RCW 108 is a molecular cloud that is in the process of being destroyed by intense ultraviolet radiation from heavy and hot stars in the nearby stellar cluster NGC 6193"
At the centre of the image is also what I call: "The Lioness of Ara".
This magnificent feline is somewhat illusive, and often lost in wide field/low resolution images.
She can be seen sharpening her claws just below the bright star near the centre of frame.
I hope you enjoy the view!
