RJ12 and RJ14 Connections

I have a Tak EM200 mount that has a guide cable with an RJ14 plug on the guide camera end. The Lodestar X2 guide camera has an RJ12 port. Will the wiring be the same? The guider will not calibrate via Maxim so trying to eliminate this as an issue.
