You know you're addicted when ...

You walk outside at lunchtime at work, note the fact that is 12:17 and therefore Solar noon locally and use your 'solar noon' shadow to find the SCP above the office building. And THEN try to visualise where the Crux and Pointers are.

The good thing is I might get some clear sk........ I'm gonna say no more for now .

Went to Astro Society meeting last night. Tutorial on Photoshop and processing, gave me a heap of new processes to work with in layers, masks and high pass filters. Always been scared of playing in that area but now it's might be time to go back and reprocess some old pix.

You're never too old to learn a new trick ..

It could be worse. At least you didn't try to point them out to passers by.

I once setup the scope in the middle of the day to observe Venus being occulded by the moon, but I was out in the country at the time - no city experiences like yours. Then there was the Saturn occulation by the moon which also happened in the daytime a couple of years ago. Seems there is something to see from time to time.
