M44 The Beehive cluster during totality

Hi all, long time no clear sky! This is M44 The Beehive cluster, which was just a couple of degrees away from the totally eclipsed moon (at least from my location).

GSO 10" F4 Newtonian, full spectrum modified Canon 1100D, 60 seconds unguided on a HEQ5-pro.

Bigger at Astrobin. ---> http://astrob.in/331731/0/

Lovely image indeed. A couple of sneaky little galaxies in there too. Is there a small galaxy out to the right? It doesn't come up on Stellarium.

Hi Joe, I have a photo from the 90's with Jupiter in the field. I should try and find it.

Yes they do a bit Alex. It's about all I can shoot in summer.

Hi Patrick, I believe the galaxy you are referring to is PGC24400, a nice little edge on with a dark lane by the looks of it. Be interesting to see a better pic of it.
