Processing RGB images with CS3

Hi all I’ve taken some RGB avi’s of Jupiter using the DMK, after the avi’s have been processed in Registax can I recombine them in CS3 to produce the final image (if so how ) or do I need to buy AstraImage to do this,,,,Paul.

Hi Paul

Check the article I wrote, RGB Planetary Imaging with a Monochrome Camera. It explains how to do it in both AstraImage and Photoshop.

If you don't want deconvolution, you don't need AstraImage.

In photoshop, just convert them to greyscale images and use the RGB combine feature (see the article).

Hi Mike, thanks for your help, I’ve only had one quick go at imaging Jupiter and it was only to test my new setup. I’ve taken my 10” OTA off my LX90 fork mount and put it on an EQ6, I have also just got an Atik e/filter wheel and a set of Astronomic LRGB filters. Next week the skies are supposed to be clear so I will have my first real go at an RGB image of Jupiter, if I do manage to get some kind of image I will post it,thanks again,,,Paul.
