With the limited numbers I played with DSS and I got the white balance correct, Are these the settings you used? play around with the star detection slider for star detection, the lower the more stars the hgher the less although I have found sometimes the opposite happens, weird...

Hi Nicolas , I've DSS'ed (Version 4.2.2) it again with a Picture quality above 120 and the .FITS & .TIF output file has lost the grid pattern . See File 288L over 120(quality) I have played in Startools for a few hours to find the free version doesn't let you save so that was a waist and the product wasn't worth saving You'll now find it here. https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...Bu?usp=sharing Also a starless version for fun. Astro Pixel also looks promising

GlennB , I'm interested in your Bitumen custom Wb technique. I need to figure that out with camera setting and filter etx. Thx man.

Try doing a few duplicates give each just one colour then merge them one by one in photo shop using the rubber tool and I bet you end up with a pretty flash image.
Alex

Alex , Does it matter that my camera is not mono in this process? Man I have some steep learning curves with PS !!

Ok
I used the files in the google drive and DSS with the settings I showed you
I then used the autosaved file in Photoshop and resized it for these forums
Hope this helps
I still think photoshop is more intuitive than some astro processing programs.
cheers

The Pillars of Creation

Wow , A very Moody result. I love it ! IMHO Nicolas you have weaved your PS magic . Your DSS settings worked a treat .'m interested in how many subs you used ( % / score)? I took the liberty to run your final through Gimp Nik Collection DFine2 noise reduction and am blown away with the final result. Finding how you keep the stars so small will entertain me for some time !! Thanks once again for showing encouraging me in what's possible

No worries I love the final result
I used all your subs, there was only 10 minutes integration after ll of that so a decent result with just 10 minutes.
I have bought a photoshop star shrink tool in order to shrink the stars it works wonders. It's cheap as well
