A couple more a77 samples

Spica, Mars and Saturn - 4 sec, f/2.8, ISO 800, 50mm (16-50mm SSM a77 kit lens)

Crux - 8 sec, f/5, ISO 1600, 110mm (75-300mm a200 kit lens)

Level adjustment and resize only.

For those who don't want to record all the shooting details, the a77 has built-in GPS and can auto time-stamp and geo-tag images. Gimp didn't copy those across.

Nice colour tone. A fair bit of light pollution, obviously - I wonder how it would go with filters?

Multiple sodium vapour street lights light up my trees. 77mm filters for the 11-16 and 16-50 lenses, 55mm for the 18-70 and 75-300 ones - not chicken feed.

Yes, but not on this lappie (Win7Pro 64 bit) or the notebook (XP). There are 2 Linux boxes in my study/library/tv room/mancave.
