Classified star rating

Given that some have been unfortunately left high and dry by people selling stuff I thought I'd just add this to see if we get any thoughts.

How about a star rating for sellers and buyers? To give people confidence in the people they are buying from?

Being new, I jumped on this forum, searched classifieds and bought a scope. I'd like to say that Flashdrive was excellent and I'm delighted with my new toy...

Mind if I add Strawb and Astroturf to the list? Both great guys and very helpful!

I've bought a scope, a mount, eyepieces and freezer suits via this forum with never a problem. I believe that is the common experience around here.

This is a pretty small community. Any bad-news stories would travel very quickly and the culprits name would be mud. If I was to reveal a proven case of inappropriate behaviour on the part of a seller I doubt they would sell another item through this forum. So I don't think we need to go to the complications of a star system; name and shame seems to be quite sufficient.

But its hard to get this right no matter how you try ?

If somone really wants to scam its not a big ask to figure out a way..
to the current problems .. and I sure don't know all
the details.. a little search of the history in regard does suggest the
possibility the scope in question was purchased for another .
(also note past members inventory)
I really hope this works out well for all concerned .. and we are
indeed.. not burning the wrong soul at the stake ?
