Ic2177

Another project I have completed in the last month. This time of IC2177.

Such a huge object I can only show just part of it.

Taken in narrow band and broad band light with a total integration time of 43 hours.

I am not really completely sold on the palette but think it sort of suits. I have been urged to try a L HaRGB view too, which I might undertake when I get some spare time.

Most excellent, Paul. That's the best bit. A delightful image.

Nice image. I agree the palette is a bit muddy in places and nice in others (I always like the blues in these narrowbands). The yellows/reds can be prone to a muddy look in some places.

Greg.

I love it. Great Job Paul - Black, detail, colour - pop !!!

I have to say that it is very PAC-MAN-esque.

Do you see it too?

Best
JA

Thanks Kevin and JA for the comments. The head does look a little like a pacman, but that maybe not where you are looking.

Great detail & very smooth - can't argue with 40+ hrs of data
I think the palette is almost there, probably only needs a minor tweak on the reds/yelows in selective colour to make it pop.
I'm going to attempt a mosaic on this target next season as it doesn't fit in my FOV either!
