Cloud Free Night lies

Forecast for today says 21mm of rain between 2pm and 5pm
I've got 30mm in half an hour already
Even my stormwater has been bubbling back up through the ground level drains. Not seen that for ages.

There is a bridge 5 kms from here just closed due to rain damage. And you can dig gravel from my dry creekbed at the end of the garden.....go figure! Can Baader do a filter to negate clouds?

As much as the rain is a PITA some of the time, you can be sure someone is grateful for it all the same. I've taken all my scopes/cameras/computers etc out of my obs and stored them back in the house to keep them out of the damp and I haven't fired an astro-image shot now for months because of either heat, cloud or rain. BUT I'm one of those who need that rain desperately to keep cattle alive through the winter and until there is a new growth spurt in the grass after spring. Our main dam was down to about 15% until this lot of rain started and our house tanks were also getting a bit sorry. So, yeah, it is a pain to be unable to get out there and run some sequences, but I'm happy to pay the price.

It hasn't stopped for two days and nights here in Yeppoon, it is that heavy that it impossible to check the rain gauge, however we got 100mm in 6 hours yesterday alone.
Haven't checked today yet but it looks pretty full.

Phil, you still need to mow regardless. No excuses. Osservatorio Astronomico di Gaznolini needs to be spick and span before The Attack... :p
