Guys,
This may be of interest to the members with AP and/or photometric capabilities.
This request was recently received by the SASER group from Augusto:

I'm studying the reflection nebula at 1.5 arcmin NW of eta Car to see if it reflects the brightening we are seen in direct light. I plan to use B (also V) standard filter images. Exposures do not need to be very deep.
Additional info:
The time travel for the eta Car echoes to that nebula is ~5 years, in the case it is in the same plane as eta Car. If it is in the direction of the Homunculus main axis, as claimed by Boumis et a. 1998, the light echoes are retarded by ~11 years.

If you're interested and can assist, I have a full sized copy of these images (1.5Mb PDF) available.
Please let me know so I can advise Augusto. Thanks.
Highly interested, although not able to assist directly.
A project in-waiting has been "All Eyes on EC". Maybe enough people are keeping watch already or maybe more are needed. All news of efforts on EC most appreciated.
