Astro Targets

Hey there all i am trying to get a target list of galaxies and nebule for the Southern hemisphere (Perth) location. any suggestions? I know the Southern Pinwheel galaxy and the Dunbell Neb are 2 decent targets. and i have already taken photos of the swan/omega (ill get back to that when i have a focal reducer) remembering that currently i have a 12" f 10 SCT so it is more destin at the moment to planetary which im going to take a few good cracks at with the gear that i have currently. but yeah any good targets would be great. unfortunately my location i cannot get Andromeda

Brendan.

Hi Brenden,

Have you thought of NGC 253 - The Sculpter Galaxy as an imaging target?

It is a very easy imaging target and nice and bright.

If you have a high focal length try for the Saturn nebulae NGC 7009, located in Aquarius.

From Perth you should have better luck on Andromeda end of October
that's when it is highest in the sky from the south
