House Keeping during inclement weather

Just like to start a thread on what house keeping and other activities people do during extended inclement weather ( like we are currently having in Sydney)

I’ve pulled apart my OTA, cleaned the inside of dust and would you believe smoke ash, cleaned both mirrors , reassembled and collimated ready for a clear night

Tidied up some files on my laptop etc.

Read some Astro books etc

Do a sun dance !

Read through "Astronomy" magazines to add things to my future viewing lists.
Swear at clouds.
Troll through IIS classifieds for things to buy that I really don't need.
Tidy eyepiece box.

Swear a bit more at clouds.

Inclement weather is pretty much what's been here in Brisbane for the past 3 or so weeks. It's finally letting up here now though, so maybe we'll have a usable weekend.
I haven't had a lot to do. Check my eyepieces and filters for any need of cleaning, and if necessary do that, has been all I've needed to do.
Outside of that, read and post on IIS and other forums.

I'm following suit with buying equipment.

I read, I post, I tidy and clean, I even sometimes modify or make but in the end, there's nothing like a good old unnessaseray purchase.

I do apologise for the inclement weather up here in Brisbane as my two new scopes and my first ZWO camera arrived two weeks ago along with my HEQ5 mount.

But I must admit that the boxes they are all still in look impressive!!!

I bought an EQ 8 two weeks ago and it has rained or been cloudy here consistently since, given that I am taking delivery of a new 12" truss RC tomorrow, I expect the cloud and rain wont be clearing anytime soon.

After I ran out of things to do, I decided to make a sign for my new observatory. I had a piece of Merbau thats been laying around for months, so it is now going to hang proudly above the gate (well, after I make the gate!).

For me it's usually new projects, like mounting a boundary layer fan on wires in my Dob, or my DIY Dew heater, etc...

Finally got a clear night here in Brisbane. I'm taking advantage of it.
Tomorrow night is supposed to be cloudy and light rain.

edit: update
So much for hoping to be able to see anything during a break in the inclement weather
I had no Aerogard, and while I was set up in the back yard, the mozzies tried to eat me alive. 6 killed in the half hour 6pm to 6:30pm.
Because of that I headed back upstairs to my flat and set up on my patio.
Just get things set up again to view the Moon, and clouds roll in.
Not happy.
