First attempt at the horsehead

Hi,
With the arrival of my new shiny Ha filter (this morning) I decided that I needed to get the guiding working, meaning this was more of a test image set than anything. This obviously needs more data to help smoothen it out and add a bit more signal and any Opinions/Criticisms/Processing tips very welcome.

Cheers,
Nathan

Well done, Nathan.

That is just about the perfect composition, too.

That looks great Nathan...

What software did you use to stack and process the 4 exposures?

I used DSS for the stacking and startools for the final processing.

Your attempt on the horsehead is certainly not a failure, rather a valuble learning experience. Thank you for the nice comments though.

Looks very nice for a test image with only 4 subs Nathan! My only comment would be that collimation looks slightly out in the lower left / upper right areas.

Thanks David,
I had a sneaking suspicion that this was the case during processing, better go tweak it now.
