Suggestion about balcony observatory (mainly wind barrier)

Hi all, I have a telescope in my balcony which facing west. South and North not actually blocked. I am thinking getting something to block each direction if it is too windy. Anyone can give me some idea?

I am thinking about use PVC pipe to make frame and then put say some plastic/wood sheet....

Thanks in advance.

Hi David.
PVC pipe for the frame and try some clear corrugated polycarbonate roofing so block the wind. 12 mm button screws should work ok for securing both the PVC and roofing. I hope this helps.
Cheers!

I made a cheap light screen recently using 20mm pvc pipe and a 1.8 x 2.4m tarp secured to the frame through its eyelets with cable ties. That tarp in your link is huge.
Being a very lightweight construction it would need to be secured down. My screen is very near to being a giant kite!
