Thanks guys! Lots more work to do gathering data & processing, but it sure is nice to have everything working again!! The only thing that's been sputtering a bit is my brain - it's been the better part of 3 years since my last image!

Its like riding bike though. It'll all come back and we'll see the maestro processed images again!

Thanks guys. Yes, good to be back in the saddle again! Naturally, it's been mostly cloudy, misty and rainy with seeing much less than optimal. The moon is now going to be getting in the way too

Anyway, I managed to get 260 "First Light" minutes of luminance on this cute little (6.7 x 4.1 arcmins) galaxy though - see FULL RES image HERE. Seeing was only fair at 2.6 arcsec FWHM (before decon). Heaps of data yet to gather so this one is being added to my "Work in Progress" section.

The system seems to be behaving well (touch wood) and has good collimation.

Welcome back Marcus! A beautiful part of the world. If I ever “dome it”, I’ll review your install pics in the first instance. Top stuff.

Thanks mate! So you haven't imaged this one yet? It's quite hard to draw out the fainter parts of the arms so getting some decent RGB is gonna be tough.

The path to heaven

What do you do when the weather conspires to prevent imaging??

You build a path to your freshly minted observatory rebuild of course!

No more wet, muddy, grassy feet on a dewy night!
