The Pencil Nebula

One more image ... it's been a weekend of processing! This is the Pencil, taken from the 'burbs of Adelaide. So quite a bit of data, and yet still not that great a result.

About 20 hours each of OIII and Ha.

Yes not a bad result there Paul, always nice to get some of those filaments below the pencil ...Hmm?..I must pencil this in to do sometime myself...

I must correct myself, that is actually Herchel's Ray, NGC 2736 (aka the Pencil Nebula). The Witches Broom is NGC 6960, and is also known as the Western Veil Nebula.
