Theo, Cyril and Kate

Folks,

Had a bit of a scoot along the Lunar terminator on Saturday night with the 11", as the seeing wasn't looking too awful.

Just right of centre is Theophilus, with Cyrillus at 11 o'clock from there, with Catharina to the left of Cyrillus.

Quite an interesting trio, with Theophilus being the youngest and hence the overlap of the crater wall between Theophilus and Cyrillus.

The lighting just seemed to be right to catch the shadows of the peaks (casting upwards in this image) in both Cyrillus and Theophilus.

Cheers,
Dunk

That is a very nice image, well captured with lovely detail due to the convenient light angles.
Theo and friends are some of my favourite craters and areas on Luna.

Thanks Jeff! It’s certainly an interesting area and I must have been lucky with the seeing

Great shot Dunk. You've got some beautiful details around the field. I also like the mount in the center of Theophilus. The light incidence is just right for it.

Thanks Marc!

Certainly luck with the shadows rather than planning
