AP Stowaway

Got a nice surprise from AP, seems after putting my name down in 2002 for a Traveller (no longer produced) I’ll finally be getting one of these puppies instead.

http://www.astro-physics.com/product...665/92f665.htm

and before Christmas

Might have to sell my beloved Takahashi FSQ85....(BTW, pm me if you are interested in the Taka)

Congratulations Peter, wonderful news and what a joy to get a brand new AP scope - quite likely the most refined 92mm telescope in the history of humanity.

Interestingly Roland Christen clearly has optimised this pocket-rocket for the digital age. I'm really looking forward to seeing how it performs compared to similar offerings.

Paid the deposit today. AP just confirmed a December delivery and the One than Must be Obeyed said she wouldn’t mind going to South America next year...conveniently around the same time as the Moon’s shadow

I think a few people thought the wait time was BS....AP also sent me a letter which arrived yesterday...a partial scan attached. No BS.

"Good things come to those that wait" but 16+ years is sort'a getting Biblically epic

No, I doubt it's quite that tragic.

Apart from AP saying they were snowed under with orders, I think there were a number of "no takers" as well (16 years? Seriously?)

Hence I'd suspect 2019's production run will satisfy the majority of more recently interested customers.
