Atlas AZEQ6 GT pulse guiding problem

Hi all, I've used my NEQ6-Pro with PHD2 for ages no problems but bought a second hand Atlas AZEQ6 GT and it won't connect to PHD2. I get an error message stating "The mount does non support pulse guiding" but it does doesn't it? I've googled but haven't found anything specific.

I've checked settings in EQMOD and they are still enabled for Pulse Guiding. The mount points very nicely and tracks well but stuck with PHD2.

Any ideas please?

Cheers and thanks
Geoff

I have an older Atlas Pro EG-G (AZEQ6 in black paint) I assume you mean a later version of that being the GT?

What cable are you using to connect? I have been using my Atlas with ASCOM and PHD2 using pulse guiding for a couple of years via an EQDirect cable.

Hi Paul, it is the older black ATLAS and I use the Shoestring USB2 EQ5 Interface (I think it is an RJ6 or 11). The cable I think is fine as I drive the mount using EQMOD via Cartes du Ciel without issue. Thanks for the idea though
