Lodestar Plug Protection

This might be of interest to lodestar owners. The USB/ST4 plug design is a disaster waiting to happen. There have been a number of reports online where people ripped off the plugs or simply cut the cables flush with the back of the guider. Even though you can find a few commercial solutions to protect the connections for ~$1.50 you can get a PVC joiner in your local Bunning's plumbing aisle that will fit perfectly. It even has an indentation inside to stop it sliding halfway. What's not to like. EAN is: 931984035968.

That will protect the plugs from shearing or the cables bending the ports. At worst they'll unpluggoing straight up not fubar the guider sideways which has been an issue.
