The best car I've owned was a 1976 VK Charger. It was an ex SA police highway car, a K13, with 360 V8, and sway bars as thick as your wrist. It went like stink, and absolutely zero body roll.

Unfortunately I wrote it off on old Razorback.

Now I'd love a Guigaro Lotus Esprit, either a 1977 S1, or a 1985 Turbo.

Old cars really are dogs compared to modern cars though.

Lately I've been hankering over an early '60's Honda Dream....

Cheers,
Jason.

Hi Jason,

I just finished trimming a 1972 VH Charger black trim, pacer orange paint on the body .

Six cylinder 265, triple webbers just been rebuilt with hot cam and balanced 320 hp at the wheels.

Customers picked up tonight, wish I had it for a little longer.
Sounds absolutely awesome.

Cheers,

Justin.

My weekend car, Whiteline sways, Tein Super Street Coilovers, SS Braided Lines, EBC pads and a sports muffler. No fast but very quick and smile producing.
Greg.

Wife's parents have an MX5 that doesn't get driven enough. When we were shopping for a 911 we did consider one of them but didn't feel that a convert was suitable for our circumstances at the time. We're going to upgrade our daily soon, so it might be back on the list

Hi Louie,
This model has a power retracting hardtop, up or down in 12 seconds. My previous models were both soft tops, they were not as quiet and hotter roof up.

Anyone here own a Toyota FT86 or Subaru (Pleadies) BRZ?

I currently have a Nissan Skyline V36 Sedan and am thinking of moving over to a 86 at some point when the used ones are cheap enough. Many report the 86 is under powered. Mods can be done but it adds to the cost of course.

Now you are talking , I have one with very similar specs , except mine is fitted with a Toyota Supra 5 speed manual gear box .
Nothing else on the planet sounds like a hot 265 Hemi of full song !

Ahh that brings back memories. I had a stock standard 265 auto VJ charger but it had no problem lighting up the back tyres. A die hard holden mate took it for a spin one day and ended up buying one himself. My brother in law was looking at the E38 6 packs, but found a E55 340 V8 and got that instead. (but I am time traveling back to the 80's and my 20's and we all probably wish we still had those cars now) We had a Chrysler auto dismantaling buisness at the time and tried to buy the old valiant spare parts from Mitsubishi but they just scrapped metaled them all. "Hey Charger"

In my early 20's I had a Ford Twin Cam Escort. I didn't realise how rare they were, apparently only 883 were made worldwide. This daily Mail article describes one recently sold for £65000....

The 1600 cc Lotus twin overhead cam engine was basically a racing engine, close ratio gearbox, larger brakes, wider track, updated suspension, there was nothing in common with the standard model.

My Twin Cam had a history, the spouses of all previous owners had crashed the car, my experience was no different, my leadfoot ex wife managed to spin out on a dead straight gravel road, breaking her wrist in the effort.

I sold the car with minor damage for just $2000...
