A life long interest in Space from the Apollo missions to Space X today
My Aunty married a US marine at the end of WW11 and moved to LA to raise a family. She would send me Apollo revel models for my birthday , toy telescopes , Space books etc.. she worked for Rockwell as a private secretary and was involved in project Apollo ( like most of America was in the 60’s )

Astronomy came later when I semi retired 3 years ago. My Dad ( who is 91) gave me all his stargazing maps , books , newspaper clippings etc of the universe as he was cleaning out a lot of stuff. He only used binos , never owned a telescope

So I guess my Aunty, Father and a life long interest in all things Space got me into Astronomy today
Now retired I am enjoying everything about this amazing hobby, both visual and AP
Keeps the brain ticking a long

Cheers
