It was clouded out down here in Melbourne for opposition but I managed to capture Saturn in a window of opportunity last night. Seeing was mediocre at best, yet the little ASI 120MM-S pulled out the best under the conditions. I intended to use this camera for guiding but I'm having a lot of fun with it on planetary imaging while I wait to purchase a guide scope.
Saturn is a combination of LRGB Meade filters. Both shots taken with the 8 inch Newtonian on an EQ5 mount with RA motor. 9mm eyepiece sticky taped to a 2.5x Powermate
. Processed in Pipp, AutoStakkert, Registax and Photoshop.
