2" HA or Clip in EOS HA Filter

Hi all,

I have two DSLR cameras, the first being a full frame unmodded 21.1mp and the second a modded and cooled 400D.

I occasionally get to darker skies, but do more imaging from home under substantial light pollution.

I am considering shooting in HA which would assist under poor light conditions and would be interested in any opinions as to whether there could be an advantage using both cameras through a threaded 2" HA filter, or whether I should just go for an EOS clip and solely use the 400d in HA? I know the modded camera with the fitted UV/IR filter makes it more sensitive to HA but my understanding is that a 7nm or a 12nm filter with dramatically increase contrast?

Thanks Heath
